Cellular Connectivity Service
SIM Cards – RuralRTK

By purchasing a SIM card or a cellular connectivity subscription, whether standalone or bundled with an RTK service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not proceed with the purchase.

 

1. Service Description

RuralRTK Solutions Inc. (“RuralRTK”) provides cellular connectivity services primarily intended for RTK corrections and connected applications.

This service relies on third-party telecommunications infrastructure and is provided “as is,” without any guarantee of continuous availability or performance.

The service is not intended for critical or emergency use and must not be relied upon as a primary means of communication in situations involving safety of persons or property.

 

2. Plans and Data Usage

RuralRTK offers various data plans, including:

• 500 MB per month plan (billed annually) with SIM card only

• 500 MB per month plan (billed annually) bundled with RTK service

These plans represent typical usage levels under normal operating conditions.

The service coverage area depends on the selected plan. Unless otherwise specified, standard plans are intended for use within Canada only.

Data volumes are provided as indicative usage levels and do not constitute strict technical limits.

RuralRTK reserves the right to optimize service management to ensure stable and fair performance across users.

 

 

3. Fair Use

The customer agrees to use the service in a normal manner consistent with its intended use (e.g., RTK, agriculture, drones, connected equipment).

Excessive, abusive, or inappropriate use may result in intervention by RuralRTK.

 

4. Overage and Additional Charges

When usage exceeds the indicative thresholds of the selected plan, overage charges may apply:

• 500 MB / month plan: $10 per additional 100 MB block

Usage is rounded up to the next 100 MB increment.

RuralRTK reserves the right to:

• monitor usage

• contact the customer in case of significant overage

• recommend a plan adjustment

• apply additional charges based on actual usage

RuralRTK will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer before applying significant additional charges.

 

5. Activation and Billing

The service is activated upon first use of the SIM card.

Plans are billed in advance on an annual basis and may renew automatically depending on the product configuration.

RuralRTK reserves the right to suspend service in case of non-payment.

 

6. SIM Card Assignment

Each SIM card is associated with a single device upon first activation.

This association is established automatically during the initial network connection and is intended to ensure service integrity and security.

Use of the SIM card in another device is not supported under normal service conditions.

In case of device change, loss, damage, or replacement, a new SIM card may be required.

A replacement fee applies: $15 per SIM card.

Depending on the timing of the replacement, additional charges or overlapping service periods may apply.

 

7. Liability and Limitations

The customer acknowledges that the service depends on third-party telecommunications infrastructure and may be subject to:

• interruptions

• latency

• signal loss

• performance variations

RuralRTK shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service.

The customer is responsible for the use of the SIM card and agrees not to use the service for illegal, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.

 

8. Equipment

The customer is responsible for their equipment, including:

• devices using the SIM card

• configuration

• proper operation

Any malfunction related to customer equipment is not the responsibility of RuralRTK.

 

9. Suspension and Termination

RuralRTK reserves the right to suspend or terminate the service in the following cases:

• non-payment

• excessive or abusive usage

• breach of these terms

The customer may stop using the service at any time. No refunds will be issued for the current billing period unless otherwise stated.

 

10. Modifications

RuralRTK reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Customers will be informed of any significant changes.

 

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Province of Quebec, Canada.
